Tanzania Horse Safaris (formerly Kaskazi Horse Safaris), based in Arusha, Tanzania, respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or book a safari with us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

  • Enquiries: when you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, phone number and the details you share about your safari, such as preferred ride, travel dates, number of riders and riding level.

  • Bookings: when you book, we collect the information needed to plan your safari safely, including your riding questionnaire, indemnity form, travel details, dietary requirements and any medical information you choose to share.

  • Email updates: if you sign up to hear from us, we keep your name and email address.

  • Website use: our website platform (Squarespace) collects basic, anonymous usage information such as pages visited, browser type and approximate location, using cookies.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and plan, book and run your safari.

  • To match you with the right horse and keep every rider safe.

  • To share practical information before you travel.

  • To send occasional news, only if you have asked to receive it. You can unsubscribe at any time.

  • To understand how our website is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where it is needed to run your safari or our website, for example with the lodges and camps you stay in, transfer providers, and the services that power this site and our forms and emails (Squarespace and Jotform). Some of these providers store data outside Tanzania. If you message us on WhatsApp or follow a link to Instagram, those services handle your information under their own privacy policies.

Cookies

This website uses cookies to work properly and to give us anonymous visitor statistics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, although some features may be limited.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as we need it to provide our services and meet our legal and accounting obligations, then delete it.

You can ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to email updates. We handle personal data in line with Tanzania’s Personal Data Protection Act, 2022, and we respect the rights of guests from other countries, including under the EU and UK GDPR.
